Product Description:
Transparent I.V. Dressing consists of a transparent medical film as a backing material, evenly coated with polymeric adhesive, attached with an absorbent, non-adherent pad.
Application:
For securing I.V. Cannula in cases with long term use. The transparent film allows regular inspection of the cannula insertion site for signs of infection or phlebitis.

- High water vapour permeability prevents moisture build up and thereby reduces risk of infection
- Minimises number of dressing changes as it keeps the skin drier, thereby improving dressing adherence

- Convenient regular visual inspection due to transparency of the film. Identification of infection or phlebitis possible without removing the dressing

How To Use:
- Open the seal of the pouch and remove the dressing
- Place the extra pad (optional) under the cannula for cushioning support
- Peel off the bottom liner exposing the pad and the adhesive surface
- Position the dressing such that the pad covers the vein puncture site and the port is located at the neck between the two tabs (Image 1)
- Remove the bottom liner to expose the adhesive surface of the tabs and press to hold the cannula on to the skin (Image 2)
- Remove the two top liners to expose the transparent top of the dressing (Image 3)
- Smoothen the dressing by pressing from centre towards the edges using firm pressure to enhance the adhesion
How To Remove:
First peel off the tabs and free the cannula while supporting the cannula and the skin. This would prevent skin trauma or dislodgement of the cannula. Then peel off the remaining dressing. Pull the dressing in the opposite direction to facilitate painless removal.
